Nissan Repair: Drivers door stuck, door latch, nissan patrol

I have a Nissan Patrol 2002.

The drivers door is stuck in the shut position.
Neither the key or remote will open the door
All other doors work OK.

As the door is shut, unable to lift the trim for any inspection. Seems to check the door I need to lift off the trim but to do that the door needs to be open.

Any suggestions gratefully received

Hi Trevor -

I am not sure whether you mean that the door cannot open, or cannot unlock in the shut position. Either way, I get the the door is closed and cannot open. That being the case, the only thing left is to open the window, and try to trip the door latch (or unlock mechanism) from between the window and the trim from above. A slim jim would be perfect for this. You may try a wire clothes hanger with a hook at the end.

Other than that if the door interior handle has a plastic trim on it, remove that and see if you can re work the linkage.
