my driver side door won't open. it's not locked. it feels like something is broken. how can i get my door open to get the panel off to find out if its something i can fix. i hope you can help me and thank you in advance for your help

Hi Linda -

It looks like the plastic link has broken or came off for the door linkage.

If you have a slim jim, roll down the window, and with a flashlight you can find the door latch that opens the door. I believe it moves toward the rear of the car to open.

It is very difficult to open the panel with the door closed without damaging it, so it should be the last resort.

If your inside door latch has a plastic cover, remove that with a philips screwdriver, and hopefully the plastic clip has broken there. If so, simply pull on the link and the door will open. If not, then using the method above try to insert the opposite side of the link into the door latch lokking from above.
