Question
Dear Expert,

Please note that my car a/c suddenly lost its effectiveness, i.e., 2 vents were cold enough but 2 were not and i was instructed to fill the coolant,( already twice) which i duly did and the cooling lasted for nearly an year. now suddenly absolutely no cllo aair comes out of all vents. Whats ur best advice and what should i do now?

thanks

Answer
Please check for leaks around the condenser, evaporator, and behind compressor's clutch and pulley assembly as well as the hoses and where they connect, like by the low pressure valve, receiver/dryer etc. If the system is not low on refrigerant check for electrical problem, like a defective low pressure valve and the wiring to and from it to the compressor. Also, it could be a malfunctioning compressor itself. Check the vacuum hoses that operate the vent system if they are disconnected and failing to open and close ducts and vents. And don't forget the fuses. If not sure about all these, please take the vehicle to an a/c technician :)
