I have a 2004 nissan altima and the battery went dead and before the battery went dead the battery light also came on and the car could only accelerate up to 5 mph, so i replaced the battery hooked it up and same problem battery light on and car accelerates in drive at the rate of 5mph and there is no check engine light. could u please help me thanks

Hi there, have you checked the charging system? If the battery goes dead it's because the alternator or voltage regulator had failed. Please have the charging system checked first. Also, the exhaust system needs to be checked for restrictions or blockages. If the CAT collapsed and is blocked, the vehicle has no power at all.
