Nissan Repair: Nissan Pathfinder questions, nissan pathfinder, broken bolt

Question
I have what my registration says is a 1992 Pathfinder 3.0 litre V-6 4x4 ( canada ) but it doesnt say what sub-type....XE / SE / LE ...however I am assuming it is an LE because it has all the power windows and mirrors etc. and has the sport and comfort suspension option as well. ( it doesnt say LE on the outside of the body also ).

I have some issues, the exhaust manifold has to be replaced because of a broken bolt allowing blow-by with a slight loss of power but not much. that will be dealt with for around $450 - $750 at a mechanics shop.

the other issue is electronic. the daylight running module will always fial in a day or two giving sporadic or no lights even when a replacement is put in, I talked to a mechanic about it and he said he could put in by-pass relays that take power directly from the battery and this would cost me $300 with parts included.......good idea...yes/no?

and the dash is giving me hell. the dash lights may or may not come on...and the fuel gauge does not work. any ideas for a quick fix to either of these?

Answer
I'm sorry but it doesn't seem there is a "quick fix" to these problems. Hands on testing is needed to find the causes, so I strongly recommend a qualified Nissan tech to have a look and come up with solutions. As for the exhaust manifold, I don't quite understand the "loss of power" and "blow by" because of a slight exhaust leak!
