Nissan Repair: air conditioning system, nissan sentra, positive cable

Question
I have a 2004 nissan sentra se-r spec v. my air conditioning has alway worked fine. This winter I put on a new exhaust manifold. To do this I had to remove the alternator and unhook the clutch connector on the compressor. I put everything back together as I found it. now my clutch on my compressor no longer engages. I have hooked up a direct line from the compressor to the positive on the battery with a push button. It then engages, but when I plug the compressor back up to the natural connector nothing happens. I also hooked up that direct line from the connector to the clutch line and it does nothing. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. There seems to be no power coming through the wire connector anymore. can you please help, any suggestions

Answer
Hi Jason

HAve you checked the large circuit fuses in the engine compartment on the fenderwell?

Also, replacing the alternator, I assume you removed the battery cable? Check the positive side to see if you have all the connections. I think on this model there are several wires with the positive cable connection.

Hope this helps
