Nissan Repair: A/C cooling but..., nissan maxima, vacuum line

Question
On my 1997 Nissan Maxima, the A/C turns on and blows cool air, however it only blows through the defroster vent.  I pulled off the front of the control panel hoping to find a vacuum hose disconnected, but there were no such hoses.  Can you suggest troubleshooting options?

Hi Jon -

If you follow the vacuum line to the engine side of the car and stil find no disconnect, or leak, then probably the diverter door is stuck. You will have to disassemble part of the ductwork under the dash to get to this door. But first see if you are losing vacuum somewhere -
