Answer
Hi John -

I am assuming you have checked the transmission oil level.

Next thing I would do is change the transmission oil and clean or replace the filter screen. There is an additive called AT205 that does wonders for transmissions. I recommend that be put in. Carquest sells it here in Hawaii, I don't know where you are. If that does not work, then a transmission overhaul is next.

For your radio and key, replace the ignition cylinder. The ignition systme comes in 2 parts, the ignition switch, and the ignition cylinder. You will need the latter. Just a note that changing the cylinder will require that you have a separate key for the ignition. The new key will not open the doors and trunk, so you will still have to carry your old key. You can buy a matched set from the dealer and replace all the locks, but be ready to spend a few humdred dollars.

Hope this helps -
aloha
