Nissan Repair: nissan pathfinder xe 4x4, air control valve, cv joints

Question
just bought a 92' in good shape and was wondering if you could tell me what I need to be on the watch out for for mechanical problems. are there specific issues I should be aware of to keep an eye on more than others?

my specifics are : rebuilt motor at 250k / new water pump / new alternator / new cv joints front / new shocks / recently flushed tranny / new plugs and electronic spark unit.

Answer
Peter,

There are none other than the idle air control valve and throttle body getting gummed up.  This makes the engine run rough at idle.  Other than that just change all the fluids and you should be fine.  I like to baseline a vehicle by replacing the differential fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid, motor oil, antifreeze and such.  If it has not had a tune up in the last two years do that too and you should be fine.
