Nissan Repair: fuel pressure, oil pressure switch, mass airflow sensor

i have a 03 nissan altima 2.5 and it will start up and idle for maybe 10 or 15 seconds and go dead.it also will go dead if you mash the accelarator pedal while it is idling.i am thinking possible fuel pump.has about 40lbs of pressure.would like to know what you think..thanks..ken

Check the fuel pump relay and back probe the relay for switched power.  If the oil pressure switch is defective the computer will un-ground the relay and cause the pump to stop.

Another cause will be the mass airflow sensor.  This will not usually throw a code so you will have to back probe the connector. A Haynes Manual will provide the procedure and values you are looking for.
