Nissan Repair: turn signal relay, turn signal switch, light fuse

Question
Hi, I have a Nissan Atlas 200, imported from Japan to Australia, when traveling recently towing a horse float, the turn signal (indicator light) fuse blew twice. Later the following night when the head lights were on, and I used the indicators there was a flash of light under the dash and the indicators no longer work.  I can not find the relay for this unit, can you please tell me where it is, thanks Judith

Answer
Hi Judith -

Being in the US, I am not sure about what your particular model Nissan looks like, but I am assuming they are similar in general.

I am thinking your problem is the turn signal switch. The circuits you mention travel to that switch and are prone to shorting out. The turn signal circuit normally does not have a relay, but the headlights do.

The relays and fuses for the large circuit components are located in the engine compartment on the fenderwell. However, relays hardly fail, so I would check or replace the turn signal switch first.

Hope this helps -o
