Nissan Repair: engine lifters, engine lifters, low oil pressure

Question
The lifter are making a clicking noise. what could be causing this, I tried putting a higher grade oil and an additive but this didnt help. Is there anything else that I could try?

Don't know what you have as for year or engine.  But, if oil and additives are not correcting the problem you need to look at a lifter adjustment.  Email me back what what you have or look it up to see if yours are adjustable.  If not adjustable you are probably looking at low oil pressure as in you need a new oil pump to get the pressure back up or the lifters / cam followers are in need of replacement.  If they are adjustable it is just a matter of getting the valve cover off and following the adjustment procedure for both the intake and exhaust.
