Nissan Repair: 2000 nissan frontier brake lights wont turn off is not the switch, nissan frontier, store stocks

brake lights stay on even when truck is turned off i replaced the switch but still not stopping the problem i removed the fuse for now but what should be my next step for solving this problem? thanks Ian

Hi Ian -

Looks like the brake stop grommet broke off. There is a plastic button like disc that snaps on the end of the brake pedal bracket. Look at the end of the brake switch, and you will see it.

This is designed to rest against the switch, turning the brake lights off. Normally any atuo parts store stocks this item for a couple dollars, simply snap it into place and you are in business.
