Nissan Repair: fuel system?, competent mechanic, nissan pathfinder

Hi Calvin,
2001 Nissan Pathfinder 150k, starts right up, but stalls seconds later, starts right up again...start driving but consistently experience intermittent, discernible loss of power at all speeds as if truck not receiving consistent fuel supply. What are your thoughts on this?  Your help is appreciated,

Hi Jeff -

Yes, you are correct. I would start with checking the fuel filter (or just replace it if it has never been done). Then check the fuel pump for proper pressure and volume. Seems like the fuel pump to me, but have a competent mechanic check first, as the pump is in the fuel tank, and it takes a bit to replace it.
