Nissan Repair: Brake lights, fuse boxes, 2004 nissan quest

Question
I have a 2004 Nissan Quest and my rear service lights will not come on.  I checked the fuse boxes and replaced the bulbs.  I also noticed that the front service lights are also out.  My turn signals, brakes and 4 ways signals work but when I turn on the lights the rear and front light service lights will not come on. The only thing that lights up are the headlights.  It made for a long drive 4 hour drive back to Maryland from Pennsylvania with my 4 ways on.

Answer
George,

The headlight switch is the usual suspect when the parking lights do not work.  The headlight switch has contacts for the parking lights as well as the low beam and high beam lights.  If the contacts for the parking lamps are gone this will cause them not to turn on.  Also, check the fuse first for the parking lights before you purchase a headlight switch.  If you have a trailer hitch and harness check there for a short circuit as well.
