Nissan Repair: Wipers, plier, linkage

I have a 1987 Nissan Pu. The passenger side wiper stopped working. How do I get the cowl off in order to check the arm & etc.

Hi Dan -

The cowl just snaps off (if you have the plastic one). Pry it carefully from one side and work your way over.

The plastic linkage bushing probably broke off the end of the link. Good news is it is very inexpensive. Bad news it is a bear to snap on due to lack of space. The male side must go on first, and then snap the other side in place. You might need to use a plier to snap it in otherwise the first time you use the wiper it will disengage again. Use some grease to assist.
