Nissan Repair: Nissan seatbelt, nissan pickup, seatbelt

My reciever on the driver side seatbelt will not allow me to lock the belt. Is there any way to open the assembly? 1991 nissan pickup, thanks!

Hi Jeff -

the spring is probably shot in the clip. Best thing to do is buy another unit. It is easily replaced, and you can just purchase the female side.

I would not recommend taking it apart, if the latch is defective the entire assy should be replaced for safety reasons. One day you might need it and the latch may not hold you.
