Nissan Repair: Nissan Quest, shift linkage, nissan quest

Hi, My 1995 Nissan Quest starts, but it wont go into any gear, my husband was wondering if it could be an electrical problem?  The transmission fluid is ok.  I didn't notice any change in the way the van shifted gears before this happened, I had drove it earlier about 10 miles, came home, then a couple of hours later when I tried to leave it wouldn't go into gear. Thanks for your help.

If the shift cable is broken that would keep it from going into gear.  Have someone look at the shift linkage, under the hood, towards the front, driver's side and shift from park to first and back.  If the linkage moves the shift cable is good and you have internal damage to the transmission.
