ANSWER: Powder,

The car will have ABS if there is a module under the hood where all the brake lines hook to it.  Regardless, bleed the brakes with a good brake fluid like Ford High Performance Fluid.  Your choice on brake fluid.  I like the Ford fluid since it is DOT3 and has twice the boiling point.

You should do a tune up at 80,000 miles.  If you are at or close to 100,000 do it now.  Nippondenso plugs are good and factory wires, cap and rotor are best.  coutrtesynissan.com for the parts.

I love Mobil 1 5W30.  But, use what you like as long as it is 5W30.

The stink is the converter.  You need to use a fuel injector cleaner like Lucas.  Nissan does not recommend fuel injector cleaners and if you use something caustic it will mess up the injectors so use Lucas.  At 100,000K miles you need to change the oxygen sensors now.  courtesynissan.com will get you the correct ones for the car and you can do this yourself.  Disconnect the battery for five minutes, by taking the negative terminal loose, for five minutes after you do the tune up and it will clear the computer codes.

QUESTION: Thank you so very much for the useful info but I have 3 more questions..

-How many spark plugs, spark wires n oxygen sensors do I need?

-When I frist got the car I had a diagnose code of p1400 and to correct the problem they had to replace the whole piece that cause that that doesn't have anything to do with the oxygen sensors right?

-are nippondenso plugs the company name or the kind of plug in general because I knw they have platium n some say +2 on it or something like that

ANSWER: Powder,

You need six plugs and wires.

You will need a cap and rotor.

You will need a left and right oxygen sensor and one at the back of the converter.

Platinum is best for the plugs since you will not have to replace them for another 80,000 miles.

QUESTION: What is the part name for the cap and rotor I need? Is the rotor you r talking about for the brakes like the disc rotor?

Now for the back converter they have a before & after catalytic converter which one is it that I need
I jus want to be sure before I go out looking for the parts

Answer
Powder,

Ask for a distributor cap and rotor.  Not like the one for the brakes.

I would purchase all three oxygen sensors as it will make the car run like new.  I did this on my 2000 Nissan Maxima after one went and I was cheap and only replaced that one and then a month later the next went and finally, the last one went...

courtesyparts.com is the easiest source since they sell Nissan parts for Jobber, what the shops pay, and you do not have to pay tax...  If they do not have it then I go to rockauto.com or autopartswarehouse.com and even partstrain.com
