Chrysler Repair: Tranny problems: Code 1776, solenoid pack, open circuits

Question
have a 1997 Caravan with a transmission problem. It just started. When it starts getting warm it defaults to 2nd gear. I just recently change tranny fluid and filter. I scanned it and got a P1776. The local garage told me it needed a valve pack which I changed, didn't fix it. Then I change the transmission computer with no luck, same problem. I just checked the level and it was 3/4 low and added to it. Do you think that would help or could there be another problem? I know I will be needing a front mount since it has excessive bounce when shifts into 4th. Could you help me?

Answer
Hi James,
Other than the solenoid pack and the computer, and the fluid level too, the other possibilities are:
transmission control relay output circuit open
circuits for L/R pressure switch sense circuit open
                                     shorted to ground
                                     short to voltage
or wiring/connectors.
The "sense"  wire in question is dark green and it runs from pin 2 of the solenoid plug to 50 of the trans controller. The relay output (should have 12V on it when in the run position and perhaps idling) is red and on pin 4 of the solenoid plug
But try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if after erasing the codes you might clear the limp in.
