i am clueless but a quick learner - where is the starter located and how do i switch it out and replace it?

Hi Latim -

The starter is located right at the front of the engine compartment. Best way to find it is to follow the positive (+) cable of the battery. Where it ends is where the starter is.

Before removing the starter, remove the negative (-) side of the battery cable at the battery. There are 2 or 3 bolts holding the starter to the engine. Get the new starter first, then you can see where they are. I think they are all 14mm bolts. The starter should come out and then remove the wires to the starter, should have a large wire (the one from the battery) and a smaller one.

The trick is the access, sometimes it is a challenge without the right tools.
