Nissan Repair: problem with back lights and dashboard light, dashboard light, nissan sunny

hi,
   recently my car (Nissan Sunny 86) is having some problems with the back lights and the dashboard light. when i start the car sometimes these lights comes on, but most often they does not come on at all. please i need urgent help, this car is my legs, without it i cannot go to work or school. please help.

Hi Nelson -

I assume when you mean back lights, they are the tail lights that come on with the headlights?

Try checking the fuse for proper connection, or just replace it. It could also be the headlight switch on the steering column. Try playing with it, turning it off and on and in between. If the lights work intermittently, then replace the switch.
