Nissan Repair: 2004 nissan sentra, nissan sentra, pressure and volume

My car would idle up then down,while driving it would surge. Now while driving it loss all but a little power I was only able to go 5 mph or less. Your help would be deeply appreciated ,its a 2004 Nissan sentra

Hi William -

This could be caused by several things. The best way to attack this problem is to give it a tune up first (Plugs, cap, rotor, and the wires if you have not done that recently). If this happens only when the car is warmed up, then try replacing the ignition module in the distributor.

If it still persists, then I would go into checking the fuel pump for proper pressure and volume.
