Nissan Repair: Inhibit relay, nissan sunny 2001, neutral safety switch

Question
In my nissan sunny 2001 model, my AC was not working. So i found it is electrical problem. When i put the INHIBIT relay (blue colur square typr) which is identical to that of AC, AC stated working.  SO what will happen if i dont replace this relay in a couple of days and what is the function of this relay.

Answer
Raju,

The inhibitor relay provides power, in certain conditions, to start the car.  Power flows to terminal S of the starter.  There are two of these relays.  Both are blue, with one being larger.  The relay you are using for the air will work for it.  But, since your engine still will start the inhibitor relay you have cuts power as in the anti-theft portion of the system.  The other inhibit relay provides power to start the car via the neutral safety switch or the clutch pedal switch, depending on what your car has for a transmission.  Replace the relay at your soonest convenience.
