Nissan Repair: 2007 Nissan rear door handle replacement, door handle, bolts

I have taken the door panel off from inside and I have the new door handle but have no clue how to get old one off.  The car will not open from outside and the door handle is loose when you first try to open it.  It has play in it like a spring is broken or something.  Can you help.  They want like $150 to fix it on top of what I paid for the handle.

Hi Scott -

I am assuming that this is the outside handle?

If so, then look closely from inside the door, behind the handle. There should be one or two bolts holding that handle down (all 10MM head). Look at the new handle you have, and you will be able to tell where the bolt studs are located. Once you remove the bolts, and disconnect the linkage at the plastic clip, the handle should come out with ease.
