Nissan Repair: Alternator, dc rectifier, autozone

My lights (interior, dash & exterior) flash while my vehicle is running.  My alternator belt didn't seem to be loose, but I tightened it a little anyway and condition still exists.  Is my alternator going out or is there some other problem, i.e. relay, etc.

Autozone or Checker will check the electrical system for free.  But, from my experience the alternator is in need of replacement.  One of the fields has failed due to a bad Direct Current DC rectifier (diode).  Just replace the alternator and you should be fine.
