1090 nissan truck 5 speed the shift lever is stuck in neutral position will not move anywhere even when you push in the clutch hope you can help thanks.........jim

The transmission will have to be removed and disassembled to get the shifter repaired.  The transmission uses a single rod that moves levers in the case of the transmission.  Either one of these is broken or bent.  You could first try to remove the shifter cover and inspect where the shifter installs into the transmission.  Under this there is the connection linkage.  But, it has been my experience that most of the time it is an internal problem.
