Nissan Repair: 2006 Maxima, gas gauge, instruments work

Hi, the tach, speedometer, gas gauge as well as the display panel on my '06 Maxima have stopped working. The ABS,TCS,Brake and Slip lights are on. Right before this happened, the outdoor temp. reading started going crazy jumping up to 120* then going back down to 50*. Right after that the heat shut off along with the gauges and display.  Two days ago I had tires, struts/shocks replaced, just to give you alittle history. Any info you can give to help would be awesome! Especially, since Nissan said they are booked til Friday. Thank you in advance, Lisa

Either the ignition switch is not returning to the run mode or the harness connector for the instruments is messing up.  Start the car and let the key return to run.  Now, wiggle the key a little and see if the instruments work.  If this does not work slap the dash above the cluster.  If both of these do not do the trick you probably have a bad body control module that runs the cluster.
