i have a 94 nissan pickup xe. and i need to know how to take the whole ignition cylinder off

You really need a Haynes Manual or a factory service manual.  You can remove the column cover and then disconnect the battery and then grind the two anti-tamper bolt heads to get enough access to pull them out or drill them out.  Now you can reomve the cylinder.  I hate this so much I just source used ones from the wrecking yard and do a switch, providing the recking yard has keys to the column they sell.  Your truck and a day of your time either way...
