Nissan Repair: No heat 99 Nissan Quest, heater hoses, nissan quest

I have a 99 Nissan quest and the heat is not working. when I turn the heat on it blows cool air even after car has warmed up. I have checked my coolant and fuses.  Someone told me it could be the heater core.  what else could it be and where should I start as far as marking things off the list before I have someone see if its the heater core.  Thank you!

If you feel the heater hoses and one is cold and the other is hot then you know the heater core is blocked.  If they are both hot/warm then you are looking at the blend doors under the dash that control the air from cold to hot.  If that is the case it is usually the control and not the motor that moves the door.
