Nissan Repair: 2004 altima, pulleys, altima

i woke up this morning and got into my car heading towards work when i noticed a strange humming from the front of the car puzzled i thought to myself what could this be so i opened  the hood to look around and noticed a strange burning smell like some type of belt what could it be? please help confused

Depending on which belt it is you could have a airconditioner, power steering or even a pulley that is locking up.  I woul dloosen the belts and, with the engine off, turn the assessories and pulleys by hand.  If you find one that is locked up you have found the problem.
