Nissan Repair: Rough Idle 1994 Nissan Maxima, united arab emirates, nissan maxima

i read your advise to Jeff. I have similar problem with my 1994 Nissan Maxima, it has fuel injector, no carburettor.
at trsaffic signals when i stop, idling drops fast and sometimes engine stops . problem repeats after re-starting engine.i switched on Air Conditioner to increase idling to level to prevent engine stopping. sometimes that also does not solve the problem.
about 6 months ago i changed all 6 spark plugs, changed fuel filter, added fuel injector cleaner into fuel tank.
since fule mixture control is not possible in my car ( as i was told by the work shop , all i can do is to try idle speed control and advance the gas pedal position with the screw to a higher position . i will check distributor and vacuum lines as you have advised Jeff.
is the engine control module defective or is the sensor in exhaust cauing the problem. I smell the exhaust unburnt fuel- may be mixture is rich. How to control mixture in a fuel injected engine?

First of all, when the car is in neutral, what is the idle speed?

Also, when you say the idles is rough, is it a steady miss, or random, or is the engine speed racing (idle goes up and down?). What about going up hills, or at higher speeds? Is the engine missing then?
