Nissan Repair: AC Comp fuse keeps blowing, compressor clutch, nissan sunny

Question
I have a Nissan Sunny FB14 1994. my AC comp fuse(under the hood) keeps blowing after 10 or 20 mins i switch on the ac. when i replaced the fuse ac works fine well for 10 -20 mins and fuse goes off again. what could be the problem ?

Answer
Chathura,

The system is overloading.  So, that means that the compressor or the cooling fans that run on the same circuit are overloading the circuit.  Either the fan motor is binding up or the electromagnet on the compressor clutch is shorting internally.  That is, the compressor has an electromagnet that applies the compressor.  If the windings insulation wears and wires start touching this could cause the compressor clutch to overload the system.  Lastly, if a ground on the system is loose, like the fan motor, this could cause excessive resistance and cause the fuse to blow.  Check for rust on connections and clean as required.  You could use a test light or an ohm meter to make sure each circuit is working properly.  I would not think the relay would cause the problem but I would check that too.
