Nissan Repair: steering feels jerky, nissan almera, bump in the road

i have a 1998 nissan almera and the steering feels jerky even when i go over a slight bump in the road. any suggestions

Hi Stacey -

I don't know quite what you mean by jerky, however, you can check for excessive play in the following steering components:\

Idler arm
center link
tie rod ends (inner and outer)
steering rack
struts

These all play an important part in the steering control.
