Nissan Repair: error code, maxiam, intake valve

1998 maxiam is hard to start. Service light is on giving error code of 1035.

Intake valve timing right side of the engine.  That is, the variable timing is messing up on the right head.  Either the sensor or the timing advance itself.  You might get lucky if you change the engine oil to Mobile 1 5W30 and reset the code by disconnecting the battery for five minutes.  If the code does not come back you are safe.  If it does replace the sensor.
