Nissan Repair: brakes, nissan sentra, performance friction

Question
1997 Nissan Sentra brakes feel spongy, pads shoes and iron in very good shape

Answer
Jerome,

If you have ceramic pads replace them with factory pads or Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads.  rockauto.com or courtesyparts.com are both good sources for pads.  Change the brake fluid to Ford High Performance Brake Fluid.  You can purchase it at a Ford Dealership.  Look for the White Bottle with the Black GT40 lable.  If it is blue it is standard fluid.  Five bucks a pint and purchase three.  Bleed the brakes and you will have incredible brakes.  Ford High Performance Fluid has twice the boiling point of regular DOT 3 fluid.  You will be happy with the performance.
