My fuel gauge is not working in my 1985 nissan pulsar  what can i do (i dont have a workshop manual)

Hi Nate -

Looks like the sending unit is bad, located in the fuel tank. Wait til the fuel is below quarter tank, and remove the tank to access the sending unit. Sometimes there is an access hatch behind or under the rear seat, which will save you from removing the tank. Once you get to it, tap the hold down ring with a brass punch (no sparks!) and remove the float/sending unit assembly. Since this includes the fuel pump, best to replace everything at once.
