Nissan Repair: chirping Pathfinder, heat shields, nissan pathfinder

Question
I have a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. It makes a squeaky chirping noise while I'm driving it over both big and little bumps in the road.  It also makes the same noise when I exit the vehicle and close the door, I'm assuming because of the movement.  Any ideas what it could be?

Hi Candy -

I had the same problem with a client of mine, and it was the running board rubbing against the frame of the car. I don't know if you are having the same issue, but it is worth a try. Other than that check the exhaust system for loose or rusted out hangers and heat shields.
