Nissan Repair: Removing stuck spark plugs, mechanical skills, spark plugs

I have a 2004 Sentra 1.8L. The spark plugs are stuck. I mean they will not budge. I have tried to turn to the point that I'm afraid that I'm going to do some damage. Is there anything that I could do to free them. I have average at best mechanical skills.

Hi Mark -

The best thing I can recommend is to try spraying some oil into the spark plug area. Get your socket and ratchet and work it back and forth until you free it up. There is not shortcut to this - have to be patient.

When replacing do not make it too tight. All you need is about 1/2 turn after the washer contacts the head.
