Nissan Repair: transmission 2000 maxima, transmission lubricant, proper diagnosis

my transmission is having a hard time switching from first to second i have 144,000 miles just had the oil changed last month.i used lucas transmission lubricant and still no results.what do i do?

I would first have the transmission diagnosed with a computer scanner.  Nissan had an issue with the transmission in 2000 for the Maxima.  That means it could be the shift computer.  But, it could be the valve body or specificaly the governor that tells the computer to shift the transmission.  Remember that this car has a computer controlled transmission with electronic servos. It is worth the $100 bucks to get a proper diagnosis.  I have a 2000 Maxima SE and mine turned out to be the computer. This is the computer specifically for the transmission.
