Nissan Repair: water leak inside car, radiator coolant, 2007 nissan sentra

Question
My 2007 nissan sentra has a water leak under the glove box on the left hand side of the glove box. It seems to be when we are running the air conditioning any ideas?

Answer
Hi Ty -

This is your heater core that is leaking. Although you may not use the heater, the radiator coolant runs through this core, which is located right side of dash behind the glove box.
Your immediate fix should be to disconnect and plug the hoses that supply coolant to the core, usually they are located on passenger side of firewall. Trace each hose back to the source and plug it there.
The permanent fix, of course is to replace the core, however it could get costly, as the duct system of the A/C will have to be removed to gain access. I don't know where you live, but if there is no need for a heater, then you may leave it disconnected.

Hope this helps -
