Question
QUESTION: i have  a nissan patrol 2004 3.0 sve diesel brakes seem to work fine no problem stopping even at speed but i noticed when stopped the pedal will go slowly to the floor i changed brake master cylinder but this made no differance any idea what problem is or is this normal thank you

ANSWER: Hi Declan -

Assuming you have bench bled the master, do you know if you are losing brake fluid?

Does it go all the way to the floor, or is it just very soft?

Let me know -

QUESTION: yes we bleed the brakes no fluid leaking and it will go to the floor .we spent a long time bleeding just to make sure no air in system.drove this morning put brakes on at 50 mph no problem stopping.also new brake pads fitted.

Answer
Hi Declan -

The only thing I can think of is that there is still residual air in the system. Assuming you have bled all the brakes, front and rear, maybe you need to remove the cylinder and bench bleed it (again). Of course it could also be a defective master cylinder.
