Towing Issues: Collections, scare tactic, storage fee

Can a towing company send you to collections if I don’t pick up the car?
The fee to pay would be $600 to get the car, if I don’t want that car anymore,
Its not working, will they really send me to collections or its just a scare tactic to get the money?

As a Generic answer, any business who is owed money for services is entitled to send accounts to collection agencies..

Now it may seem to be a scare tactic but in many states the laws are written so that tow companies can collect money owed for towing and storage fees via collections or by notifying the state who suspends the owners drivers license or vehicle licenses..

I would work it out as fast as possible as the daily storage fee goes up each day.
