Nissan Repair: 2002 Nissan Altima Temperature Problems, 2002 nissan altima, nissan altima

Question
I am having temperature problems with my 2002 Nissan Altima. It starts last week when I was driving and the temperature went all the way to High and water got out. I towed it to the Mechanic cuz I didnt want to drive it and the Mechanic checked it and told me that he couldnt find any problem so he filled it with water and told me to drive it. I drove it for a week and everything was fine. Today, I went out of town and after driving 60 miles the temperature went again  almost to Hight. I checked the water and there was no leak at all and the radiator was full of water. I have no idea what is going on?.

Answer
Bashar,

Get a new mechanic.  What he should have done was to install a new thermostat along with a new radiator cap.  Also, the fluid should be changed out.  Then, the cooling fans need to be inspected to make sure they operate after the thermostat and radiator cap is replaced.  If they do not work, or work intermittently, the relays need to be checked along with the temperature sensor that grounds them.
