Nissan Repair: 98 Maxima Stalling, air fuel mixture, mass airflow sensor

Question
98 Maxima seems to stall when decelerating from a high speed as well as when coming to a stop at lights after being warmed up.  The tach seems to bounce and then stalls. It does seem to restart with no difficulty, but may have to give a little gas to maintain idle at times. I have replaced plugs, air filter and cleaned MAF sensor, throttle body as well as the IACV.  Could the IACV solenoid not be functioning or possibly the MAF.  There are no error codes showing.  I am sure it's an air/fuel mixture issue.  Thanks

Answer
Dan,

This is usually the mass airflow sensor.  You will need a Haynes Manual or a factory service manual for the readings for your particular car.  Also, a digital volt ohm meter to check the MAF.  The MAF usually does not throw a code so that would be my first thought since your car usually gets this condition.
