Nissan Repair: 91 maxima, transmission shop, clutches

the tranny is slipping although the check engine light is not on. it does not go into overdrive. does anyone have any answers for me?!?!?!

If the fluid is at the proper level and the transmission is slipping means either the clutches are worn out or the pump is down on pressure.  A check engine light does not come on with these conditions.  The overdrive button will flash in some cases.  But, not always.  I would go to a dealer or a transmission shop and have it diagnosed.
