Nissan Repair: Oil pressure gauge, oil pressure gauge, oil pressure sending unit

Question
I have a 1988 Nissan 300,the oil pressure gauge does not move, where do I start looking, could it be a fuse.

Answer
Joe,

If the oil light does not come on and the gauge is not working would lead me to replace the oil pressure sending unit on the engine.  courtesyparts.com or rockauto.com are both good sources for cheap and factory original replacement parts.  A dealer will be twice the price.  If you are in a hurry the local parts store like Autozone, Pep Boys or Checker are fine...  Buy the part and have them show you on their screen where to look for the sending unit.  Then it is a simple matter of removing the old one and installing the new one.
