Question
how do i remove the ignition switch? there are two bolts to remove but there is just a flat surface.

Answer
Hi Brandon -

That is the dealers way of creating a "no tamper" install. I remove the screws by using a small, sharp punch. Punch a dent on the top outside area of the screw, and then angle the punch so when you tap it with the hammer, the screw will move counter clockwise. Do this for both side, and eventually you will be able to remove it by hand.

When you get the new switch, it will come with mounting screws. I think it is 10mm. You have to tighten it until the head breaks off leaving you with the tamper proof install again.

Hope this helps -
