Nissan Repair: transmission, bushings, villager

Question
The tranny seems to slip  a little when put into gear. Also
when moving shifting from park to drive there is a lot of
play in the coulm . Somtimees won't start untill pushed
forward what wrong. Mark ps. 93 villager

The shifter needs to be disassembled and inspected.  The shifter linkage is probably worn or the shifter bushings are worn.  I have even seen some that the bolts have worked loose.  If the transmission slips you might need to change the fluid.  Now, if it is really sloppy you might need a rebuild.
