Nissan Repair: Coils under warranty?, extended warranty, autozone

I just noticed a few lights come on the dash ("Service Engine Soon/ TCS Off/ Slip") on my 2001 Maxima.  I called my dealer and they said it might be coils, although I'm not noticing any backfiring.  I only have 72K km with an extended warranty to 120K km.  Are coils covered?

It depends on which warranty you purchased.  Check to see if electrical is covered in the fine print.  If not it will be on you.  I bought an extended warranty and it was covered for mine.  Also, mine was $100 deductable.  I would go to Autozone or Checker and have the code checked before going to the dealer.  They will do it for free and then you will know what the code is before you get to the dealer.
